Specialist Uses

Reproduction of music scores (arrangements)

If you want to make your own arrangement, perhaps for different musical instruments, and if it is for local use only, most publishers will not object, provided you obtain the necessary permission first. Some publishers will want to see a copy of your arrangement in advance, some will ask for a fee. Please note that in all cases the copyright in the original work remains with the original owner, and your rights as arranger will normally be assigned to that owner. The fact that you have made the arrangement will not give you any rights (unless the original music is out of copyright).
