Common Uses License for non-commercial use within churches & schools Christian Copyright Licensing (Europe) (CCLE) offers an annual licence for churches and schools which allows reproduction of the words, and photocopying of the words and music of many hymns and songs. The Church/Schools Copyright Licences enable churches, schools and other organisations in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland to reproduce the words of most hymns and worship songs, providing that any materials produced are for free distribution within the church. The Music Reproduction Licence similarly covers music from listed music books. However, if you plan to resell the materials you produce, or use them at any event where a charge is made, it is necessary to seek copyright permission direct from the publishers concerned. The Christian Music Publishers Association fully supports the Church Copyright Licence and the Music Reproduction Licence and details can be obtained from CCLE, including a list of participating copyright owners and included songs/hymnbooks – see Copyright Agencies. |
